Jordyn + Kenneth - La Caille destination garden utah wedding
Jordyn and Kenneth got married at the “upscale French-Belgian” Venue located in Little Cottonwood Canyon during the warm summer of 2019 in Utah. LA Caille is such an amazing venue filled with flowers, and every detail that you can think of, and ever since Ben and I started photography, we always said, “once we get a La Callie wedding, we will be considered professionals”. Silly! I know, but its been a dream of ours to shoot their and capture a beautiful and romantic wedding there. And thats just what we got to shoot and witness after doing this for 7 years now. Jordyn and Kenneth have such a passion for one another, and you can really see it (especially during the first look!). We only had a few minutes before the ceremony to capture the first look, so Ben and I found a little hidden spot away from everyone to create a qiuet and emotional moment for the two. Both, jordyn and Kenneth were filled with emotions and getting teary eyed with knowing they were getting married in a matter of minutes.
Next comes the ceremony! As everyone gathered and sat down, the most glorious cloud appeared and covered up the sun so that we could capture this amazing ceremony for the couple. Kenneth walked down with his mom (who came all the way from germany!), and Jordyn with her dad. The two shared beautiful vows in front of all of their friends and family.
Following the ceremony, we captured some beautiful photos of their families with them, and ended with some bridals of both of them before they headed off to their dinner. Before dinner started, ben and I took a few moments before anyone else was in the garden to capture some details of everything for them. From the table settings, flowers, and the over all ambience.
Their grand entrance into the garden was the most amazing energy! There wasn’t anyone sitting down, as everyone yelled congrats! and cheered as they entered. During dinner, they had their closest love ones say toasts, and it actually brought ben and I to tears. It gets us both so emotional hearing the stories and deep connections they have for the couple.
PARTY TIME! the rest of the night was a huge party! everyone, young and old, was on the dance floor getting wild! Jordyn and kenneth’s entire wedding was filled to the brim of love, and emotion. And we are so excited for these two, and their new journey. To end the night, they ran out while guests waved U.S. and German flags, representing their two cultures coming together.
Their love story
Jordyn and Kenneth met October of 2014 while both attending the University of Utah. Kenneth played basketball for the school and Jordyn was pursuing a degree in Education. They went on a date set up by two of their good friends for a sorority date night. They went to a trampoline park where they played basketball and Jordyn showcased her athletic ability (;. It wasn’t until the following year, after a year of many late night drives where the two would talk for hours on end, that they began officially dating & the rest is history! While visiting in Germany over Christmas, Kenneth got down on one knee and proposed to Jordyn. The couple was married in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 27, 2019 amongst their closest friends and family. From University of Utah, Utah Valley University to now, Germany, the couple loves the adventure they started back in 2014 from a ‘blind date’.

Their story
“We were in the same preschool class, but neither of us remember it. We saw each other in junior high but got to know each other better in high school. Caleb played basketball and I cheered. We both were in other relationships through high school until the end of our senior year. We got to know each other a little bit in a body conditioning class and would talk about drama in our other relationships. We became good friends and would talk here and there when he was on his mission. When he came home we both were in other relationships again, but the timing worked out so that those relationships ended right around the same time. Caleb asked me to go boating with him. I was really surprised because we hadn’t talked in like 10 months, but I said what the heck and went anyway. We talked and talked the whole way there, and then we were out on the water wake skating together for like an hour straight. Something that immediately stood out to me, was how funny Caleb was, and how much fun we had together. I remember being oblivious to everything else when we were talking on the way there, and laughing out on the water wake skating. We continued to hang out almost everyday for weeks. We would go to the gym, boating, to the movies, to get boba tea, and our first “official date” to get sushi. But he still hadn’t kissed me yet and, the ‘window was closing’. I would come home afterward and tell my mom that there was no way I was going again because he hadn’t kissed me yet. But in mind, I knew I would still go because I felt something different with Caleb. (We were such good friends beforehand.. so that also played into it) He finally did and we continued to hang out and go on dates. I moved back to Provo and was hesitant about having a long distance relationship. After one date in Provo when I couldn’t stop talking about how much fun I had boating and wake skating (with Caleb... don’t worry I didn’t mention that) but that was when I realized that Caleb was the person I wanted to go on dates and spend my time with. Me and Caleb dated for that whole year (2 semesters) long distance and got engaged after that.”
